USA Day 4: More Shopping

Today, Mummy explored further to the factory outlet in outskirt las vegas. It was a fruitful day and we manage fill up our luggages with coach bags. In the evening, we meet up with papa again in Caesar Palace. After dinner, we took a stroll down to the Venetian to have a feel of Venice. America, France and Italy in 3 days, you can only experience this in Las Vegas!

We went to the mirage for the Volcano experience. The earth shakes while flames shoot into the night sky. Smoke and fire spray 100 feet above the waters below, transforming a tranquil waterfall into spectacular streams of molten lava. Sounds a bit overboard, but that's what they say on their website.... haha....

USA Day 3: Shopping Time

Papa starts his conference today, so Matty and Mummy spend the day shopping at Ceasar Palace. The weather outside was scorching 40 deg Celsius! In the evening, we meet up with Papa and have a stroll to Paris and the Bellagio.

The Eiffle tower looks great, but we are not sure how it compares as we have not seen the actual one. As for the Bellagio Fountains, quite interesting but not very different from what we have in sentosa.

USA Day 2: Grand Canyon

After our less then 4 hours sleep, we woke up at 530am and got ready for our long journey to one of the world's greatest natural wonder. The shuttle pick us up at 615am, and we were transfered to our coach. We stop by at the hoover dam for a short photo shoot, before arriving at the grand canyon national park 4 hours later.

When we finally arrive, it was well worth the journey. The canyon was majestic, the photos might not have done justice, as the weather was quite bad. We make several hops in the national park, and took quite a few pictures.

The journey back was as challenging, and we are really very tired. The traffic in Las Vegas, and laid back nature of the americans make sure that we finally reach our hotel at 11pm.... what a day!

USA Day 1: Viva Las Vegas

We took a 16 hours direct flight to Los Angeles, and after some delay due to a missing crew for the domestic flight, we arrive in Las Vegas at 11pm. There are some problems with the conveyor belt and it's 12pm before we finally got hold of the luggage.

There was a long queue for Taxis, and we took and shuttle instead. And it was a mistake. The shuttle took several stops dispatching other customers before finall sending us to the Orleans Hotel at 1am.

We were treated with more waits (seems like a way of life in USA!) as the hotel staff took 30 minutes to check in 3 or 4 customers? Nonetheless, we finall got to our rooms and settle down at 2pm.... we have 4 hours of rest before we get pciked up for our grand canyon trip....zzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZ

Matty's Birthday

We celebrated Matty's birthday at the SAF Yatch Club in Sembawang. This place is quite ulu, you should not be able to find it without some directions. Somehow, manage to get Desmond and his girls there in time for a late dinner. The restaurant here servers some nice chinese seafood and western food also, highly recommended is the grill stingray, spicy!

As with all yatch clubs, there have fruit machines here. But the main attraction is the 20 cents arcades, reminds me of the army camps. The children have a great time with the free flow of coins while the adults enjoy the breeze.

Didi goes to School

Mummy signs up Didi for the 2 hours Pre-Nursery class at Talent Plus. We manage to capture the happier moments before the real saga unfold at the school.

For the next 5 days, Papa, Mummy and Auntie takes turn to accompany Didi to school. It was a traumatic experience, not only for the kid, for the parents too....
